The Friends of The Woodstock Library is a group of dedicated, diverse community members who have been volunteering their time to raise funds for the Woodstock Library for five decades.

Today, The Friends is officially a 509(a)(3) charity—a subcategory of 501(c)(3) under the New York Office of the Attorney General’s Charities Bureau, a supporting organization that carries out its function: to support a single other tax-exempt organization, in this case, the Woodstock Public Library. The Friends’ sole purpose, then, is to provide funds for the library.
