Matagiri is a non-profit organization dedicated to integral yoga and inspired by the international community of Auroville. In addition to weekly hatha yoga and Pilates mat classes, they host workshops, concerts and study groups throughout the year. Founded by an artist, writer and jeweler, this center shares the evolutionary vision of statesman, poet and sage Sri Aurobindo. He was joined by the French mystic and painter, Mira Alfassa and together they nurtured the community of seekers who gathered around them in Pondicherry, South India. Books, incense, soaps and shampoos and statuary are for sale along with art by co-founder Sam Spanier.
Meditation room, library and bookstore are open by appointment.
