Nestled in the Catskill Mountains, minutes from Woodstock and Phoenicia and two hours from New York City, Mount Tremper Arts offers world-class performance and visual art within an intimate post-and-beam studio. Founded by photographer Mathew Pokoik and choreographer Aynsley Vandenbroucke, MTA fosters an environment of creative risk taking and intellectual curiosity through an annual summer arts festival and year-round creative development residencies.

The 2010 Summer Festival runs July 10- August 15.
FREE opening event July 10 (3-6pm) features members of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, the string quartet ETHEL, Rashaun Mitchell. 6pm- pig roast ($15 adult $5 child)
The photography exhibition Seven Summits curated by Matthew Porter, opens with a reception on July 16 from 6-9pm. It features works by Michele Abeles, Shannon Ebner, Roe Ethridge, Miranda Lichtenstein, Arthur Ou, Michael Vahrenwald, and Hannah Whitaker. Reception includes presentations by visual artists Arthur Ou, Boru O'Brien O'Connell, Dan Torop, and Miranda Lichtenstein.
Additional summer performances include: Miguel Gutierrez, Will Rawls, Karinne Keithley, Foofwa D'Imobilite, Brennan Gerard and Ryan Kelly, Katie Workum, Cory Nakasue and Aynsley Vandenbroucke, Alan Sondheim.

Since its beginnings in 1920, the WAA has been committed to exhibiting and collecting work in all media by area artists and supporting the tradition of Woodstock as the "Colony of the Arts".
Located in the center of the village of Woodstock, the WAA functions as a cultural center as well as an archive for the work of esteemed artists who have lived and worked in the vicinity.

The mission of the Woodstock Arts Consortium mission is to advance and enhance the economic vitality of the nonprofit arts community; to promote the cultural life of Woodstock to the local community, the Hudson River Valley and beyond; to expand, exchange information and share existing individual resources and collaborate on future grants to better serve the community; and to collaborate with others to encourage ongoing economic growth for Woodstock.

The Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild is a multi-arts membership organization. Its Kleinert/James Arts Center hosts local and national performing, visual and literary artists. The WBG offers a variety of classes in the arts and is steward of the Byrdcliffe Arts Colony.
Founded in 1903, Byrdcliffe is one of the older artists colonies in the country, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its historical and architectural significance. It is home to a national Artist-in-Residence program

Federated Garden Club
The Woodstock Garden club is in its 62nd year and continues to be a charter member of the NationalGardenClubs, Inc and the Federate Garden Clubs of New York State,Inc.
Meetings are held at the Woodstock Rescue Squad building on Rte. 212 in Woodstock on the fourth Thursday of each month from April thru November.
We have monthly presentations and meetings on a variety of Gardening topics, as well as special event trips to local gardens.
Mt. Top Arboretum,Innis Free Gardens,etc.
The Garden club has an annual plant sale, participates in the Woodstock Library Fair, and purchases gardening books for the Woodstock Library yearly.
We have a new youth program that is looking to promote gardening, appreciation and respect for Nature and the environment,and provide educational, fun activities for children at various local events. (We recently did flower pot painting and planting with children at the Woodstock Farm Fest and will be there again in September for a Fall Harvest time activity.
The club is actively seeking new members who love to garden, are interested in learning more about gardening, and who share a similar vision to continue beautify and maintain local gardens by volunteering.We currently maintain the garden at the Comeau property, the Triangle at the Intersection of Rtes. 212-375 and we have also planted two new beds on the Green at the Peace Pole.
