a beautifully furnished vacation rental space above the shop for visitors. Its name of course is "Above the Books."

Above the Books is a fully and sumptuously furnished 2 bedroom apartment above Mirabai Books right in the center of Woodstock, NY, complete with a lushly decorated Living Room, fully equipped kitchen, sparkling new bathroom, private meditation room and sun deck! We've already been told by several different healers previewing the space that the energy is simply amazing up here. All of the rooms have been graciously appointed. Those staying a week or two will be happy to know there's a washer/dryer right in the apartment -- so pack light! Luxury all-cotton linens, towels and robes are provided free of charge. And sparing no detail, we've even added organic essential oils to all of the interior wall paints!

As the apartment is above Mirabai you will, of course, be staying in one of the most convenient locations in town. Since we're virtually across the street from the NYC bus stop, THERE'S NO NEED FOR A CAR if you're coming up from the city! You'll be only a few steps away from Woodstock's many restaurants, shops, galleries, concert and entertainment venues. Swimming spots along the Mill Stream and nature trails in Woodstock's expansive Comeau Park are just around the corner. Those wanting to explore further can rent bikes at nearby Overlook Bycicles and venture out to the beautiful Cooper Lake, Wilson State Park and the Big Deep Watering Hole. Those who do choose to bring a car will enjoy off-street parking in our lot.

In fact, we've even prepared an "insider's guide" to the Holistic Hudson Valley, in case you're looking for a good yoga class while you're in town. Or a cranial sacral session. Or a shiatsu massage. Just ask us for advice on any mind/body/spirit service you can imagaine and we'll provide a recommendation based upon our years of experience in the area. Given our convenient location and the apartment's spaciousness, you should know that many of our recommended practitioners will come to you and provide these services in-house.

And of course, just downstairs awaits one of the literary and spiritual jewels of the Hudson Valley -- soothing, tranquil Mirabai Books. Above the Books guests will enjoy a 10% discount in the shop during their stay. Browse to your heart's content, any time. Or perhaps you would like to time your stay to coincide with one of our year-round workshops. Rest, relaxation, renewal. That's what Above the Books is all about.

Rates start at $975 for a week-long stay, $495 for a weekend or $195 for a weeknight (weekly rates rise to $1,175 during peak seasons such as July and August).
