MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS (2008)

  • Tell the world what you do through the Chamber.
  • Woodstock Chamber of Commerce & Arts Visitors Booth – Our visitors’ booth also serves as our business office from May through October and is located on Rock City Road near Tinker Street. The booth is open for tourists from May through December. Our booth manager guides all visitors to chamber members & helps make their stay a pleasant one.
    Business referrals – The Chamber makes every attempt to refer ONLY Chamber members to the thousands of requests received each year. Don’t be left out!
  • Heighten your Company’s Visibility - Internet Exposure. Your investment in the Chamber gives your business credibility, visibility and marketability.
    With a listing in our online Business Directory with free hot-links from the Chamber web site and a printable map with your location.
  • Lists all members with contact info, photo and 35 word description (info must be provided by members).
  • Link our web site to yours with the opportunity for a reciprocal link.
  • Our web master will work with you to provide the services you require. Add up to four photographs and your logo to your business page.
  • Group Health Insurance Options - Many individuals and small business do not qualify for purchasing health insurance without a group option. Our Chamber is committed to annually monitoring choices and to offering the best choices we can find to our members.   • Discounted health insurance rates are only available to members whose dues are fully paid by the due date and are in good standing.
  • Networking - We also have Mixers throughout the year that enable you to meet your next client or customer.

  • Our Web site WoodstockChamber.com allows you to market your business locally, nationally and internationally through page sponsorship and banners.
  • Our Business Directory reaches all businesses in Woodstock, all of our Chamber Members and all prospective businesses wishing to locate in our town.
  • Our Calendar of Events accepts members listings and includes them on our web site.
  • Our Web Site promotes local activities and attractions, including points of interest for tourists.
  • Our Annual Woodstock Travel Guide. Each year, the WCOCA designs and prints 20,000 travel guides in booklet form, and 80,000 brochures for distribution in the tri-state area.
  • For local artists, the WCOCA web site provides a Virtual Artists Tour. We are planning a similar site for Musicians.
  • The WCOCA organizes and sponsors select town events including the Holiday Open House.
  • Business Tax Deduction - Your Chamber Membership Investment is tax deductible.

CHAMBER MISSION STATEMENT

  • To develop, encourage, promote and protect the commercial, professional, financial, artistic and general business interests of the Town of Woodstock, New York.
  • To promote civic interests of the community.
  • To extend and promote the trade, commerce, industry and arts of the Town of Woodstock, New York.
  • To promote laws and regulations beneficial to business and the arts in general.
  • To provide a forum for the reflection of the sentiments of business, arts and the community, regarding matters affecting their interest.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

  • BUSINESS - $195/year (apply)
  • ARTIST/INDIVIDUAL whose gross income is $16,000 or less per year - dues are $95/year (apply)

In a change from our previous policy, memberships last a full 12 months from the receipt of your dues, and you will be sent a renewal invoice one month prior to your dues expiration.

WEBSITE GUIDELINES & MISSION

  • To provide a fast loading and highly informative site about the Woodstock community, its people and their activities.
  • No advertising. Member listings limited to 40 words Members are encouraged to include a 1" x 2" listing icon (photo). NOTE: Members without their own site who need a little extra advertising space are offered a "Mini-Site" from WCOCA @75 per year.
  • Listings: Members should pick a single category that best fits their business. When a member has an additional activity that is significantly different from their primary activity, additional listings are available @ $35 each. These should have their own description and link directly to their own unique web page. (This uniqueness of categories keeps WCOCA site interesting and encourages visitors to click through all). For individual events, members should list on the WCOCA calendar and link directly to a page with event details.
